Jason Bottenfield, was attending an MLBPAA alumni meeting one evening in 2005 at the Ballpark in Arlington and realized that young athletes in the North Texas area could benefit from the resources and breadth of knowledge within the local Major League Baseball Alumni chapter, having some 200+ members.

After going to the president of the local alumni that night, Jason decided to take on what now brings in over 200 plus young athletes in the North Texas, the "Legends For Youth" event. Legends for Youth is a nationally recognized event that is branded and supported by the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association and funded by local businesses/indviduals.

The North Texas event brings 8-10 professional baseball players (current and alumni) to one location each year for kids to come out and learn from some of the best in the game.

Autographs and posters for all athletes on the field after the event ends.
